Amidst the chaos of 17th century France is an exciting story of political intrigue, dueling, and romance. Follow D'Artagnan, a 17 year old boy from Gascony as he leaves his small home town to make his own way as one of the King's Guards in Paris.
On his journey to Paris, our dashing young adventurer gets in a duel with a mysterious man with a scar down his right cheek, who will eventually become D'Artagnan's sworn enemy throughout his career. Despite escaping with his life, D'Artagnan had his letter of recommendation to become a musketeer stolen from him, leaving him without a method of attaining a job.
After the excitement, our young hero made his way to Paris where he meets Comte de Treville to request to become a musketeer. Although the Captain of the guard is impressed with D'Artagnan he must decline making him a member of the Musketeers due to his lack of the letter. On his way out of the building the young man manages to anger three musketeers, scheduling three separate duels that were certain to kill him.
It turns out that D'Artganan managed to start duels with the famous three best friend Musketeers, who all decided to fight him together. However, right before the duel four of the guards of the Cardinal, the Musketeers' sworn enemy, came to break up the duel. The three Musketeers and D'Artagnan were able to defeat the guards and become the best of friends.
Everything seems to be perfect, until one day the young hero's landlord comes to him with asking for help in finding his kidnapped wife. It turned out the beautiful young woman was actually on the run from the Cardinal, as she was helping the Queen against the Cardinal's nefarious plans to take the throne. D'Artagnan decides to help her in her quest and becomes feverishly in love with the woman. However, she is taken away by the Cardinal and his men, leaving D'Artagnan and his new friends to find her and save the King from the plots of the Cardinal.
Can our young hero save the love of his life, his King, and find his way to fame and fortune along the way, or will the evil Cardinal succeed in his plans?
